I have recieved my P990i at last on 19.07 and start already exploring.
On the design facts, I should say it is very much like P900 meanwhile the quality of the material used is poor. The battery door can easily get open even when you are taking your handset out of your pocket.
The keys are really well placed. The place you put on your ear is designed not to get dirty from the touch of your skin to the LCD because of the given edges to the phone.
There are still bugs and problems such as the RAM amount will get very low even if you just browse your address book.
The 4 way navigation keys are great in touching and activity. Jog dial you will get use to it in 24 hours specially if you had Z5 or other P9xx. The keyboard is very nice and can be used by 2 hands.
Lets start your questions and we may learn some more togeather about this phone.

Where did you get it from? And how much did you pay?

Separating my lust for the device - is the P990i looking like a workhorse device or something that merely could be?
I need to be able to depend on a strong PIM device for calendar events with categories, and strong syncing to PC and groupware. Currently I see the E61 as the stand out in this area, but I see the P990i as a possible solution.
I have been putting up with a XDA mini for 2 years and its appalling, the form factor is great but the OS is not as stable or flexible as it should be.

@aafshari
Can you please tell us:
1. About the design of the retail box (colour, etc)
2. How much total RAM is available, as opposed to free RAM
3. Under the battery there should be some information about build date, what does it say
4. What version is the firmware?
5. Does use of WiFi cause the P990 to crash?
Thank you

Good pics. Could you answer jah's questions please? Will the RAM issue be fixed with a firmware update?
Oh, and is the battery cover really loose? Damn
