Ive just loaded in a bluetooth dongle on both me pcs - and now cat load up the Update Software - it just hangs on the Flash Splash Screen - this has happened to both of my computers.

All worked fine before I installed the Bluetooth Dongle

there are 2 sides to every story, of course, and the fact that SEUS worked before you loaded your BT drivers and doesn't now also offers the possibility that the BT drivers are faulty in some way

I have 3 different BT drivers on my vaio (the original vaio ones, one from a dongle I got a few years back and one I got just recently called bluesoleil and stil SEUS works fine

I'd suggest checking for a newer version of your BT drivers/software, checking device manager for conflicts, uninstalling the BT drivers/software, reinstalling SEUS and if none of that doesn't works perhaps even running system recovery to get back to a working machine

before you do the full format don't forget the system restore option I mentioned. That has saved my bacon more times than I can remember now

@masseur:

I noticed you mentioned you had a VAIO and was wondering if it recognized the M2 memory card from the M600i when used with the Memory Stick Pro adapter? I have a VAIO VGN-T350 and it won't recognize when I have inserted the M2 card and adapter. I've talked with Sony support who claim it's not compatible Sony's own website states it is. Sorry to stray off topic, just curious it you've tried the M2 card in your VAIO.

Thanks in advance.

@jazz_qwerty, it seems I hadn't run SEUS since installing bluesoleil a couple of days ago as I had reason to run it today and found that it has the same behaviour that you described!

I tried uninstalling it, I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling SEUS and finally I tried a system recovery back to the day before I installed bluesoleil and still SEUS doesn't work!

still no clue which software is at fault, or perhaps its to do with the virtual COM ports created by bluesoleil which SEUS is scanning or... well I really don't know

I'm wondering if anyone else has SEUS running with bluesoleil installed?

mine needs it too and I'll probably do it in the next week anyway.

I haven't done a full reset on my vaio since last September and I nearly got into it yesterday but something else came up.

anyway, alls fine for now... alas no updates for M600 or K800
