You had a W950!?!?!?
Don't know why the M600i isn't out at major retailers where you live yet. It has been out at all the mejor ones here in Sweden for about a month I think.

I concur, the M600i has been on sale here in Singapore since last month June. It is available at all the telcos and handphone retail outlets.
Looks like the black M600i is more popular than the white.
HTH.

I'm in the same boat, waiting for CPW to pick up the M600 so I can bribe discount out of my flatmate!
It doesn't seem like the handset has been released in the UK yet (officially anyway) so some of the smaller retailers are using imported stock. CPW have it on their systems (and have done for weeks now) just no prices or stock.
Oh for future reference, CPW now own e2save, so when one gets stock so will the other.

While they are all stocking the handset I don't even remotely count any of them as a 'major' UK retailer. The stock those three retailers alone sell will be a drop in the ocean compared to the likes of the Caudwell Group (Phones4u - Retail, 20:20 & Dextra - Distribution) or even Carphone.
So why do the websites have them and the big player not? Simple it's all about supply. The website have a single shop front serving a relatively small shop front. 100 handsets on either of the 3 sites would go a long way. The same 100 handsets would barely cover 1 in 7 CPW stores, and thats before you even look at Direct sales such as the various websites (CPW, e2save, 1stopphoneshop etc) or phone ordering.
The big players need to wait for the bulk shipments before they can start carrying the product, the logistics of letting 700 stores, online and direct fight over 100 handsets is just not worth it.
The other difference is due to the smaller quantities, the smaller operators can easily get stock from other areas such as the middle east or scandanavia.

Actually visited the local 3 store today just to ask about the M600. The clerk there told me that Telenor have had major problems with the software in the M600 and have had to send most of them back to SE. Therefore 3 havent decided yet if they are going to start selling it. And that might be the same reason to why you cant find it in the UK.
