Not sure about others, but today I got a very nice leaflet through the posttoday and basically ebay are expanding, they are opening another online store, although this store is for ebay items?

The plan is that sellers can turn their small business into a full blown buiness. The new store is called ebay express and doesn't work like ebay does. It works like a store so people can have baskets etc, but the people they buy from are normal uk folk like me or you.

the criteria of listing things on ebay express is:

the item must be new

the item must be offered at a fixed price

must be a photo of the item

have to have a 7 days return policy

charge reasnoble postage (that should be interesting)

must invoice buyers and notify them when a item is dispatched

im not quite sure what I think of this as it means so many differnt things will happen and there are lots of diffent outcomes, what do you guys think about this?

for more details see ebayexpress.co.uk

I've heard about this, it's a great idea! 'Normal' Ebay will continue as well, this will run parallel to it, I suppose it's really just Ebay with everything as a 'buy it now'!

ebay seem to be trying to take over teh whole.......slowly....

I think it sounds like a good idea, especially for people liek yourself luke...

Anyhoots, if ebay ever introduce cash points or bank accounts i will then be scared... too much of one thing aint a good thing!

@ lee they already do a crediit card lol.

The oen thing im worried about is higher prices, as the new store will be just for new items (although just for shops) because its not sold under the 2nd had name of ebay im sure shops will increase their sale prices.

one big problem is anyone who sells there must be registered as a business which means they can then be taxed
