I have a W600i and have plugged it into my Mac via the USB cable. The phone does not appear on my desktop. Do I need to adjust the settings? I want to transfer MP3's from my Mac to my new phone.

The W600 (W550 in Europe) should just mount on the desktop when plugged in.
When you attach the USB cable a pop-up should appear on the phones screen, choose 'File Transfer' and the phone will turn off, switch itself into file transfer mode, and mount on the desktop.
Alternatively, just send the files by Bluetooth.
