ok, this has been on my mind for a while. i got my k750i recently, and was wondering what the range for it's bluetooth is... me and my friend with a moto e398 went down a mid-city street and began transfer of a big file. i walked down the street(crowded, lots of cars) and continued looking at my phone. the transfer continued until i was about 50 meters away(i estimate). Is this a new spec of BT?Its max ranges is meant to be 10m right? the e398 isnt a new phone, so i wonder ow it could be using a new version of BT too(if it is) My F/W is R1BC002, if that helps. Is this just the technoligy exceeding its specs, or something far more sinister... lol. thanks in advance for your help

Motos have a range of 100m, most others are usually 10m range

really? i dont see how, isnt it like determined by the people who come up with the standards for a connection tpe. ie. BT has 10m range, because it has a standard set for the transmission max power. Any uber-BTexperts please answer

I know what your getting at, I dont understand it myself, if its doable why dont all maufacturers upgrade to the Class 1 (100m range) BT.... Motos have been doing it for a long time now too

would be pretty cool if se's did that, i definitely think that 10m range is a little limiting

Yes, I agree, but the Moto's bluetooth is much slower than the SE one

the thing that annoys me, is that bluetooth is advertised as having a max 1 mbit /s transfer rate, but in reality, even 5 cm away, i only get about 5 K bytes/s which is... 40 k bits.. which is ridiculasly slow...

i've tried my k750 bt with a mpx220 and the speed is quite fast. Im really impressed coz i once did it with a moto v500 (or v551) and it was a totally pain in the *ss. we spent like 20 mins transfering a 1mb file.
