It seems the regular (not speakerphone) speaker on my 2 year old p900 just stopped working. At least no sound comes out - none - not even static. The speakerphone works just fine.
Any idea on what this could be? I don't recall any phone drops at the time this failed but is sure seems like the speaker just got disconnected some how.
Any suggestions? All I tried so far is power off/on - to no affect. Is it time to get a p910?
Thanks,
Paul

Simple answer yes.

Though you could try taking your phone apart... detailed intructions are in this forum somewhere...

yes, it could just be a case of dust/dirt getting into the earphone speaker, taking the phone apart, giving the internals a good clean should hopefully solve the problem.
If not, replacement ear speakers can be got off Ebay for less than £5

I've never seen that before. Good luck fixing it. Be careful of opening your unit. Its pretty complicating under the shell.
