There were 20 categories in the awards, which readers voted for through the T3 website, ranging from best "boy's toy" to most favoured PDA.
The laptop prize went to Apple for its MacBook Pro, chosen for the way it "combined both style and performance".
Best satellite navigation gadget went to the TomTom Go 910, for its "touch screen display and clear directions".
Mr Jenkins added that the awards would prove to be an "excellent barometer" for the next big-sellers in the high street.
He said: "Our readers are primarily early adopters of gadgets, and we have found that in the past that whatever they go big on, the mass market adopts pretty soon afterwards."
At the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, MP3 devices that play both music and video, digital entertainment hubs, consoles and new TV displays were predicted to lead the surge in sales in the proceeding 12 months.

I love the catagory "best HD DEVICE"........ MMMMMM lets see what the consumer choises are...... mmmmmm.... well there is SKY HD, thens there's ..............................OH yeah, nothing else!
OK OK, I know there are loads of HDTV's thats might and could fall into this field but they don't really count!
Its a bit like having an award for "BEST stainless steel phone"
