Hugbees all around.

I'm obviously new to this forum (thanks to a tip from Cingular's site), but I'm no stranger to mobile phones, or otherwise...

My first GSM phone was the venerable T616. I absolutely loved it and I miss it to this day.

After that, I made the mistake of listening to my spouse and followed in her footsteps to a Motorola V551, aka the blue rubber paperweight. When a Bluetooth phone tells you "No Bluetooth Module Installed," you know you're not dealing with the sharpest tack in the box.

One warranty exchange per month for 6 months later, I sold the last one "New In Box" and purchased an S710a. Here's where I began to question Aside from its bulk, I cherished that phone... until its abilities turned to corn flakes and the inbound call volumes began randomly fluctuating. Worse, Service believes that 1) firmware updates (which BTW re-locked and re-branded my phone ) magically fix hardware problems, and 2) return shipment of my phone required no padding whatsoever

Eventually, replaced my phone with another S710a. While that was happening, Motorola lured me back with the siren song of their iTunes-equipped RAZR V3i. I did like its responsiveness (relative to the S710a's molasses in winter). I did like its pocketability. I did like its use of standard SD memory and USB cables. But I disliked its soap-bubble camera optics. I hated its short bus-express UI and Address Book. And I couldn't stand that even the local slopeheads each had a RAZR!

eBay whisked away that phone, and now I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery (damn you, elusive FedEx driver man!) of my W810i. Which hopefully will stay with me a while. Because my luck with phones is nudging me to the brink of insanity. The voices in my head agree.
