LG has announced the upcoming international availability of new versions of its phenomenally successful Chocolate handset.
ESATO NEWS
Slated for release around the world across Q3 and Q4 of 2006, the latest versions of the million-selling phone include white and pink handsets and new ‘premium’ Chocolate phones with unique design variations and enhanced technical specifications which will be available before the end of the year.
Following the successful international launch of the Chocolate phone – which sold more than one million units globally in just eight weeks since early May – is no mean feat, but the latest handsets take Chocolate to new audiences, for whom stunning design and desirability combined with great technology are lifestyle expressions.
The new handsets are already enjoying significant sales success in South Korea and, following in-depth research among 18 and 35 year olds around the globe, the decision has been taken to introduce the phones to select international markets.

No memory card option is just sad. LG should've put some thought on that

dudes, why do people complain when companies release different colours.
Guess what? These variations are to lure those who wanted another color, or for those who prefer a change.
I like having options rather than being stuck with one color.

ah, so your problem is not that they release various colors, Your problem is that they release a variation you prefer.
So you're saying that you'd rather have them NOT release another variation so that you don't get jealous of the fact that you don't have the color you want.
Sadly that's the way it goes, however with this particular LG, we knew there would be a pink and white variation months before the black was out.
(or at least we could have assumed so since that's what they did in Korea)
With me, I think hard if I like the phone. If yes, I'll take it. If not, I'll wait. If I do take it and something nicer comes out, I sell the old one and buy the new, or just move on to a new mobile.

Well even though it seems unfair that we cannot have a huge choice when a new phone comes out, it is all down to marketing. I don't mind having some choice when it comes to colours but the truth is, is that by releasing a new colour, it's almost like releasing a new phone. The RAZR silver was losing some attention at one point, and then they went and released a 'new' black version was released and the craze started again. If SE were to release a plethora of colours, then quite a few would be 'forgotten about' and therefore quite a waste financially.
