Right.....i have had no end of problems with orange!!! i phoned on Sat signed up with them....got a contract....got accepted on a contract.... got my brand new k800i today BUT......
I have justphoned to register the sim card and been told....
YOU APPLICATION FOR A CONTRACT PHONE HAS BEEN DECLINED!
please send the phone straight back to us - i dont know why you were sent the phone as you cant have a contract with us!!
Needless to say im FUMING - i have got my pac code from o2 and everything
soooooo after being told i wont be able to use this phone and i MUST return it i said NO - its not my mistake, and no thanks i dont need the freepost returns address as i wont be sending it back - its NOT my mistake!
ANYWAY..... can i use this phone with another sim????
will they just put a block on the phone itself???
am i gonna end up with a FAB new k800i and not be able to use it???
please advise me

You can't use the phone with another SIM card, because it it most likely locked to Orange. Check the service menu for software/locks.
If you unlock it, you most likely will incure the wrath of Orange.

i am adamant it was their mistake not mine and im not returning this phone out of pure principle lol
im soooo stuborn lol but i want this phone!!!
can it be unlocked then - even if orange block the phone from being used?

yeah... they are saying my application has been declined so i cant have a contract witht them
But on Sat when i ordered the phone and signed up with them and waited an extra 10 mins while credit check was done the bloke said my contract application had gone through fine

Keep the phone. If they block it, sell it to someone European on ebay. The amount of horror stories I've heard about operators not letting unhappy people out of their contracts... Well now the shoes on the other foot. :-*

lol very true - just wish i knew more about mobiles so i could look into my options (legal or not i just wanna use my ******* new k800i!!)
can a phone be blocked even before its been registered??????
