I need my java applications (Opera Mini, Google Local) to have an internet connection, but I can't figure out how to make my phone set up that way. Any help for changign the settings?

If it's the same as the K800, then it should be under Settings > Connectivity > Internet Settings > Settings for Java. Then you choose the data account from there.
