well, according my experiences with se fones, some are really quiet, but the w810 seems ok for me, however i think the default alerts are really crap. set an own meassge alert, maybe a longer tone, that might solve your problem.

yeah i guess thats what im going to have to do, its just a little stupid though because the ringtones are fine, theyre a nice level. Oh well ill change it. Thanks for your reply

give a try on 8 and set ascending ring. who knows, maybe se made some changes at the loudness

if the tones are mp3 format, try increasing the gain using MP3Gain or another package.
