I have a problem with this card, i can't seem to get my computer to recognise it. I have an official Sony Memory card reader that supports memory stick/ms pro/ms duo/ms pro duo, and i have an adaptor that converts a M2 stick to what looks to be a memory stick. But connect all that up (even though it's all sony product!) and what's the result? - my computer saying "insert disc" when i click on the new disc drive explorer recognises.
If anyone else is having problems connecting their M2 sticks to their computer, or have found any way for the cards to be read, could you please post to help me out.
I've checked all the web and all the forums i could think of and nobody seems to be having this problem.
-am i alone?

Hey there sorphus. You are not alone, i've got the same problem. I have tried both my 1gb and the included 64mb M2 sticks with an adaptor to my cardreader by neither of them are recognized by XP(the cardreader supports all memory stick versions). I have formated both of them and I can copy stuff to them via the data cable so I know they work but they don't work with my cardreader. I tried the cards with another 2 different cardreaders with different PC's at a friends house and both cardreaders supports all memory stick versions but they didn't work therte either. I have a regular memory stick duo from my P800 and that works perfect in all 3 cardreaders.
So i'm very interested to find a solution too. The resellers had no clue.

@ o44wen
could you post the link to the portable type you use? because i'd be very interested in finding a device that can actually read my card.
Using the data cable (connecting the phone to my computer) is rediculously slow and bluetooth is even slower.
It seems completely useless for sony to make an M2 card that can't even be read by sony adaptors. So much for compatibility.
Anyway sorry im deviating, could someone please post any device they use that can actually read an M2 card and is USB2 compliant.
thanks for everyone's post.

I use a Epson Stylus Photo R300 to read it.
Is a 2Gb Memory Stick PRO DUO (Sony Branded).
Funny enough, sometimes when I plug it on the reader it makes the printer to switch off...
I have to unplug it, plug it on the phone, unplug from the phone and plug in the printer again for it to work.
Why does that I've not the slightest idea.
