Im thinking of getting a bluetooth gps reciever, im just wondering can I run tomtom or equlivinet software on my pc/mac and then use that as the screen/base of my satnav?

Here's the official TOmTom software for Mac & PC. Dunno if it does all you want though - I've never used one!
