Has anyone who's updated their firmware to T68ie-R5D007 tried Bluetooth connections?

Both my desktop PC and iPAQ H3970 can't find the Bluetooth Serial Services on the T68m(i).

I've upgraded the phone last week to R5D007 and the BT still works fine. Before I had R2E006.

Hi,

Same here. I upgraded myself a T68 to R5C001 using the firmware that gdaswani uploaded to his website.

The Bluetooth features was working flawlessly before the upgrade. After, I still can pair the phone with my computer (with a Tecom USB dongle), but I can't see which services are available, so, can't upload or download any data to the phone. Also, when I press the main button of mine HBH-30 headset, the phone didn't connect. I can't use the headset for voice dialing at all.

Hope someone have a solution for that!

Thank You,

Julio

I downgraded the firmware to R2E006 and I still have the same issues.

My T68 can discover other devices but they can't discover it, nor find the serial services.

Everything worked fine before the firmware changes.

Regarding bluetooth problems..

I had a Cingular T68i which had the R2BXXX firmware.. Bluetooth didn't work, pairing worked by when services were polled, it gave me an authorization error?

I flashed it to the AT&T R5C001 dump that I provided on my Website and Bluetooth started working (and I can now sync with my PC and my use GPRS via Pocket PC)..

For the person that can't get get the R5C001 working with bluetooth, did you try doing a master reset? removing all traces of the phone from your WIDCOMM stack? then re-pairing again?

The procedure definitely works for me per the CINGULAR T68i updated to AT&T R5C001 example..

Update: I upgraded to R5D007 few minutes ago and the Bluetooth problems are still here. I'll try to downgrade to the original T68m firmware.

I did several Master Resets (settings -> master reset -> reset all), no success at all.

How is it that you are upgrading your firmware at home? I had a t68i with R2E006 and had to swap it with a new handset. They sent me a R2B025 model back. There are a few differences I have noticed.

One being when I enter a phone number and pushed down on the joystick it would dial. but with R2B it wont.

weird
