> Unlocking a Nokia 6280

My girlfriend has just bought a 6280 form ebay, but its locked to 3.
How can i unlock it? I've read that i need to buy a 3 sim card, then ring them up to get the unlock code, just wondered if anyone knows any other way.

Only way to unlock these are by the network themselves so teh advice you been given is the only way

ill save u the trouble of having to look around-no way to unlock the phone except the network themselves. Ps if anyone has found a way since last week please tell us we will be happy to pay for the privilege

Bb5 protected fones can be unlocked via code, imo there wont be ever any other solution

Dejan (from GSM Forums) has the solution which works with current BB5 phones (right upto the N73!) he's jus holding onto it to get a high price... trust me when i say in about 6mths time there will be a free release and it wont unlock all the new ones straight away trust me!

dejan ye he is a smart fella. The only problem is dejans software will only unlock the older versions as his "device" will offer no support, updates etc.
His tool will be free (cracked) down the line. I remember his dejan nokia dongle back in the day was the only optiona nd history will repeat itself again but will be short lived as he has said he's too old for it now.
