How do I initiate a GPRS connection from my laptop via bluetooth? Do I "dial" an access number, or send a pseudo dial string to start the GPRS session?

So far I'm only able to use a DUN for a GSM data connection at 9.6Kbs.

For what number? All I keep getting are GSM data connects @ 9.6 not GPRS.

Well on my network (AT&T) you connect using the dial-up number *99# and I connect between 30-50kbps

sbdave, have you actually used a laptop to connect to the internet through your t68? I have a t68i and I have successfully "connected" the laptop with the phone through bluetooth. Dial string is as you posted but also with the CID of your phone, otherwise this will not work. I got the phone to dial and successfully log on to the GPRS network...but that is all so far, I cannot get IE to open any web sites on the computer...don't know if you have any suggestions...does it have anything to do with mpm or any of the ericsson software?

Thanks for anything in advance!

Sorry I am just now getting back to you, I'm sure you have figured it out before. I used IrDa to connect my laptop with the phone, and then I just created a new DUN and used the above mentioned number. That's it. Connected and worked on the first try.

the number for GPRS data calls has the format *99***X# where X corresponds to the CID of the data account applicable (internet access) and that will depend on your operator.
