Having seen a thread on the 10 most expensive cars in the world, I thought I'd post the 10 most powerful (by bhp).

1. Buggati Veyron - 1001 bhp

2. SSC Aero SC/8T - 908 bhp

3. Koenigsegg CCR & CCX - 806 bhp

4. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo - 750 bhp

5. Bristol Fighter S - 660 bhp

6. Koenigsegg CC 8S - 655 bhp

7. Maserati MC12 - 632 bhp

8. Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren - 617 bhp

9. Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG - 612 bhp

10. Ferrari 599GTB - 611 bhp

H m m m m m, cars #s 1-4 are very fast enough, as they can OUTRUN any F1 car at any given time

F1 cars only produces 700+ horses for what I know of

The Veyron actually creates approx. 3,000hp (at the crank).......

......cooling system(13 radiators) and transmission rob 1,000hp each......

.....leaving the 1004 quoted driving the wheels....
