Hi All

Just got my hands on the SE M600i and as nice as it is I just need to get it working the way I want it to.

I've sent the WAP, MMS and Email settings from the SE to my phone, but the phone always say POP3 server refused to allow connection. Check your mailbox unsername and password, but I know these are right as I can login with the same details on the web?

Thanks for any responses.

On the web the Username can also be just the username but for pop collection it must be the full email address i.e. user@gmail.com.

change wap.o2.co.uk to mobile.o2.co.uk

and it should then work

Hi thank you for both your responses.

adhussain - those details are correct in my phone, but thank you.

jazz_qwerty - I tried changing the details, but they didn't work for me!

My list of accounts that have been auto configured sent over from the SE site are the following, which are located in my Internet Accounts

02 GPRS - Address is mobile.o2.co.uk
02 MMS - Address is wap.o2.co.uk
02 WAP GPRS - Address is wap.o2.co.uk

gmail isn't working on my new m600i either... i guess we'll have to wait for third-party software like profimail if they are willing to develop one that runs under UIQ 3.

what I did is for username and login, dont put the @googlemail.com but on the end

incoming server: pop.gmail.com
username: name without the @google.com
password:your password
outgoing server:smtp.gmail.com

"Advanced"

encryption: both checked on SSL
outgoing username: as above without the googlemail.com bit
password: as above
incoming port: 995
outgoing port: 465

that should work... oh and connect using: o2 wap gprs
