I've tried both wayfinder and wisepilot... both good but require a GPRS connection to download the data on demand. www.nav4all.com is the same but free....

Still... we wait for an offline nav solution!

It is free until the middle of August, then you will have to start paying a monthly fee. I will go for Wayfinder, pay once, use forever. Neither is available for my K800i yet anyway...

Nav offline would be great and possible!
I´ve downloaded maps and are using them, would be possible to nav offline if I don´t require thé route.

Yes the P990i should come bundled with "Wayfinder" you should get a trial version on the SW disc supplied with the P990i.

I run Wayfinder on my P910i its as good as but no better than any GPS system on the market (They are ALL flawed, in as much they rely on machine logic rather than common sence!)

You will still get the usual silly things like being told to get off a motorway when you know damn well you have to stay on it for another 100 miles!

I did actualy follow the instructions to leave to Autoroute in France once just to see if there was a better route, the machine just told me I was off track and made me U trurn to rejoin the Autoroute!

But the one big advantage is that you do not need a PC to use Wayfinder as there are no maps to be downloded and stored on the phone all the data you require is sent to the phone via your GPRS connection and it uses tiny amounts of data, and it can be set "Pedestrian" mode as s sight seeing tool very handy!
