Will wotanserver unlock. Is it perminant, and will it change my firmware from red to brown i dont want that. Thanks for the answers

Wotan server indeed unlocks the phone. I did it myself and can guarantee it works. Follow the instructions and you will get an unlocked K800i. Just make sure the USB cable is installed and the flash drivers are OK (they are provided by SE anyway as you can now "upgrade" online also with SE (not unlock though, for that you need WOTAN).
Seriously, it was a breeze!
PS- remember to backup all the contacts, pics and all that stuff 'cause you'll lose it

It is permanent, but you can buy 2 credits at WOTAN and then flash the phone again if you want to revert to a branded version.

Wish that was true almost had me but i double checked and it does not. I would happily be proved wrong though.
Oh and "if" a software would unlock you're phone and needed to convert to brown it would convert it back to red after the porcess is finished. Ofcourse that is "if" the new phone are unlocked with that method which i doubt they will be.

How do i know this? Take a look at
www.setool.net. There is quite a lenghty explanation of why u cant unlock a Db2020 phone yet!
Its going to take a while for anyone to work it out so in the mean time the only way is to ask your network operator or just keep yeh fingers crossed and pray!
Oh an when it does finally get worked out you are going to need a service cable not the dcu-60 one u get with the phone in the box!
And NO wotanserver doesnt convert ur phone from Red Cert. to Brown. Theres no need to!

firmware (un-lock the branded one) and, after that, upgrade normally via WEB the firmware you had.
I didn't mean, nor check, anything regarding SIM lock. It is my fault though... I gave you a wrong info. Sorry if it caused any inconvenient.
You can UNBRAND the phone (I am sure) but I don't know if you can UNLOCK the phone (if by that you mean that you can put whatever SIM you want).
Hope I explained my point of view.
