The sound quality of the k800/k790 has been crippled by SE - it has low volume compared to even the k750i and absence of distict bass elements making it sound like an old nokia 6630 .This is purely a firmware issue as i see it because the test firmware had excellent sound quality. Let us all send a petition to SE requesting on an emergency firmware update .

Please comply as we need a joint effort to make it work.

I rly dont thnk so.. the k790 i bought 2 days ago has pretty much the same sound quality and volume levels as the w800/k750.Not only this i think ringtone sound is much more clearer and sharp than my w800.The only drawback i see in terms of music on the k790 is the mp3 player, i think it is a downgrade from the gr8 walkman player of the w800.

In what way do you find this player worse than the previus? And if you got the HPM-70 and some real earplugs i think the phone sounds really good! I myself got the HPM-70 and the Sony MDR-EX71SL plugs.

Well, for first i think you cant play videos frm it,cant browse tracks without changing the songs currently playing,no megabass.i think these are some key features missing.

You can browse without changing, I don't get why people say you can't. Just press the back button and you can browse around both artists and all songs in the phone without interupting the track.
Yes, they removed Megabass, but seriusly, does anybody use that feature? If you got some good earplugs or phones you don't need that. But that's what i think

If you ask me they should put mega bass into it!!!!! i'm getting annoyed by all my mates with their older modeled walkmans which sound a million times better than my supposedly newer more advanced device!!!

Well. You will never get Megabass in K800i. Megabass is for SE's Walkman branded phones only. And you will probably never get a Cybershot brand on a Walkman phone either.

I'm happy with the sound in K800i, even tho it's probably better in W* series, BUT I want a nice camera and I valuate that higher than the musicplayer.
