> Car-100 and P990i compatibility?

I think this may have been asked before regarding the fast port connectors on newer sony ericsson phones.
I did have a car-100 awhile back and i am thinking of buying another to use with the P990i, although the car-100 charges from the old style sony ericsson phones.
Is the anything out that will do the job of charging it at all? If not i am surprised they have not come up with anything.

CAR-100 was always a bit of a gimmick and I doubt they will spend more money on it. Perhaps a developer might give it a go.
But then there is the question of charging, as you mentioned, but this is really a much larger question of old accessory compatibility with the new phones and though there have been rumours of adaptors I have yet to see one actually being availabale on sale

I managed to get a CAR-100 a few days ago. Charged it, but couldn't get it work with my W960. Now I've downloaded the java software from sonyericsson's web site, but I keep getting an error message as "NullPointerException". Also my car's battery is empty, so I can't test it ATM. Anyone got it working with any UIQ3 symbian phones, and if so, how
?

Symbian phones are notoriously bad with Bluetooth accessories especially carkits.
