HI everybody,
just been messing about making up some themes,
well actually , i have been using other peoples creations and modifying them to suit my requirements.

I would reall like to start making my own wallpaper and animated wallpapers.
Can someone advise me on this.

If you see a really nice photo on the net, that you might want to use as wallpaper or a screen saver, how do you actually reduce its size without losing the quality of the picture

Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready is always the best choice, though Corel Draw is a worth-trying as well.
