Hi,
I tried too edit an Email Account in my phone, while it wa trying to retrieve emails, and received the message "Locked" - after which the Email Account disappeared entirely.
The problem is, though it is not to be seen/used in the Email Accounts list or in Messaging, it can be seen in the Today list. I can circumvent it by setting it to 'hide' in preferences, but I want to delete it altogether, which I cannot do.
Any ideas?

Hi something similar happened to me
I backed up the device (yes, with the fault still active) and restored that same backup.
It worked.

Hmm, weird ... I made a full backup of the phone, but cannot restore anything?? After a little while saying "restore in progress..." it bombs out with a message "device disconnected - restore not completed". I'm completely confused now!

Workaround:
(1) Backup
(2) Re/flash using SEUS
(3) Restore
(4) Done
