Lately my backups are failing all the time, almost at time of completion.

I have deactivated various elements to try to isolate the culprit, with no success. I keep getting "Backup cancelled by device" (or something like this).

Anyone has found the reason or a workaround?? I know this topic has been raised by many people, but my search has been unsuccessful.

Thanks

Mandel

I had perfect backups for a while (and unfortunately boasted a bit too quickly about it in another thread) but I face now the same problem. I deactivated most items but to no avail. I have the impression this is linked to installing third parties apps on the device. This is a real pain and if it is indeed the case, I wander what's the use of having all this "signing" process.

Iīm experiencing the exact same problem now. Dont know what to do really. I donīt want to uninstall my third party programs either. I have Wayfinder installed for an example.
Any solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Its not TP apps. Its the settings. disable that and it will work.

Yup, i've had the same experience... Disabling "settings" does the trick...

disabling "Settings" defeats the purpose of the backup for me. It's the only section that is tedious to rebuild after an upgrade or master reset.

I'll continue the search for a solution...

uncheck all the items manually then check them again manually and it will work. (it did for me)

i too face this problem. some of the steps i took.

1) i've only got google maps, agile, opera mini installed. i uninstalled all. backup still fails.
2) disabled settings, backup still fails.
3) uncheck all items n check them again. backup still fails.
4) delete all sent messages and housekeep sms inbox. backup still fails.

i was able to backup perfectly before, but after the update to the latest firmware, not once can i backup my stuff. i suspect its a firmware bug?

sad... i cant do any backup, which means i cant do any future firmware upgrades!
