Air travellers were being stripped of their electronic devices at UK airports this morning following a failed terror plot.

No electrical or battery powered items including laptops, mobile phones, iPods, remote controls and electronic key fobs can be carried in the cabin and must be checked in as hold baggage.

We will see how long that ban lasts with executives wanted to touch up presentations on their laptops and kids wanted to play on there PSP's and listen to their iPods. Parents nightmare on these flights from now on.

I'm in Jamaica and I just saw it in the papers. Maybe it wasn't in full effect yet when you arrived? Alot of items were outlined including phones etc. To me it seems we'll be having some boring flights. When it's 9 hours to get to the UK why even bother if you don't have to now? When i went away last year i wasn't allowed to use my ipod on the flight but they let me use my psp, weird!

I feel sorry for the parents though especially if it is a long haul flight.
