Was: T68i HELP!!
i bought my phone almost a month now and only now I have experienced some probs with it. can anyone help me? here are the symptoms
i put my t68i in my pocket and say 4 hours later i take it out and it's off. i know I locked the keypads. here's the funny thing, it wont turn on. the batter was just out of the charger. i went home and plugged it into the charger and it still wont turn on. i had to try a few times then it came on. the second time it happend, i didnt even put it in the charger, i just let it cool for a few mins then i was able to turn it on. weird. it's like auto off or something. i'm thinking somewhere in the overheating dept though. i'm in the philippines and when these 2 occurences happened the phone was in my pocket for 2 - 3 hours without me checking it. any ideas?
here's another symptom. i have 2 - 3 bars of signal left and a full bar of gprs, i'm talking to a friend for a few mins, it gives a quick beep then it cuts out. sometimes it just cuts out on me. i also get a lot of "for SOS calls only" msg...almost everywhere i go. i even compared it with my cousin. he doesnt get that message but i do...and we're right beside each other
any ideas guys? someone told me that my t68i might need its software upgraded by semicon or by smartnet.
has anyone gotten these probs before? how do i fix it? Pls let me know. Thanks!!

Try upgrading it first...
Check your software version by pressing >*If it's R2B025 upgrade your software.. if not... something is definitely wrong with your phone (that's what I think)

ok...I got it!! thanks...well...bad news for me. i have the software version you just mentioned. great. wat do i do now. i guess i'll have to go to smartnet and have them take a look at it.

well i just came back from smartnet philippines. they upgraded my t68i from R2B025 to r2f004. they didnt exactly say what fixes it but they said it adjusted a few things such as making the msg tone louder and typing sms msgs will be a little different. let's just say it made my typing slower now 'coz of the changes. not bad though. as for my probs...i'll have to observe it. they charged me 450 pesos if the phone is not under warranty. anyway...i hope it fixes my prob...if not...crap! thanks anyway!
