My iPod is still my primary portable music device, so I have all of my music in iTunes (on a Mac). I found a few methods to use a

Walkman phone in iTunes as well. Has anyone tried these? Did they work well? Were they uselessly buggy?
1) SyncTunes:

2) iTuneMyWalkman (a beta-level iTunes script):

3) Dreamsicle, an iLife-like shareware app that integrates these phones with iTunes, iPhoto, and video clips:

Note that this has nothing to do with iSync, iCal, or Address Book. Please don't turn this thread into a discussion thereof - thanks.

All of them work ok, but SyncTunes and Dreamsicle are the best, and obviously Dreamsicle, being a commercial paid-for product offers the most features.
But to be honest, after trying them all out, I just decided to stick with the drag and drop method in the Finder.
Depends how often you want to move music around, but for me drop and drop is fine.

yep, i agree on Jools on that. The simple drag and drop on my phone is fine with me aswell.

I'll give SyncTunes a try. After reading some on-line reviews, it seems to be the best bet (and it's free, too). The others are apparently problematic.

Hey Jools,
I know Chris from the Dreamsicle team. He has a new version coming out soon. I am doing a bit of beta testing for him. The new version will recognize the M2 and the multiple drives. It will be rebuilt from the ground up he says. Soooo lets keep our fingers crossed.
Cheers

Looking forward to it,
sapporobaby. Dreamsicle looks like a nice app - hopefully the new "bottoms up" version will address the complaints I've read in the earlier versions.
Meanwhile, SyncTunes works quite well. Gotta appreciate its simplicity (which may be its strength?). Once I throw some cash into my PayPal account, I'll be sure and donate to the software author's cause.
BTW, if your user name thinks what I think it means, you have excellent taste in beer

Actually Sapporo is my daughters middle name but I do know about the "liquid" version of her name as well.
