Hi, this is my first post on Esato.com
It's a great site, and I've been managing a favourites folder with all my favourite logos. I was presented with a T65 as a gift from a relation who lives in Taiwan. This phone has only Chinese and English languages, and also it seems only the Tetris game. I believe that this phone uses an OEM version of the R5a010 firmware with some features proprietry to the ISP that sold the phone. I say this because I've executed the master reset on the phone several times (I'll explain why in a bit), and each time I do so, the first WAP profile slot always reverts back to a default account, and there's a GSM Data account already created as well.
My problem started early today (I have had the phone for 3 days), and before this, there were no noticeable problems. I was browsing the Esato.com site, in particular, my favourite logos, and after I pressed yes in response to the question "Save?" the new image overlapped the image which was currently set as the logo, and the unit froze. I thought perhaps it was just lagging behind a little, as it did when I transfered the contacts on my SIM to the phone's memory. I waited for 5 minutes, and there was still no activity from the phone, and I decided then that the phone had frozen, so I switched it off (I had to hold the No button for about 5 seconds). Then, I switched it back on almost immediately, and decided to resume my browsing, only when I tried to resume, the Loading sign appeared, and about 15 seconds later it displayed the message Communication error. Try again or check your settings. So I retried, and every time I retried I would be presented with the same message. I checked with my service provider, but they said WAP and GPRS were operational; the GPRS indicator on the phone was dark, meaning I had access to it, and I was able to browse WAP via dialup. One suspicious thing I noted in every one of my attempts to connect to GPRS was that the zero bytes were recieved, and almost always, either 1899 or 1692 bytes were sent. I don't know of what significance that might be, but I thought I would state it anyway. I tried master resetting it, 4 times in a row at one point. Each time I carried it out, I would switch it off and then switch on a minute later, but no luck at all. It also reset the language to chinese, but I referred to my old T29 and managed to set the language to English again. The more I read on these forums about the problems people have had with these phones, the more I suspect that the firmware is to blame. I would appreciate it very much if people who have had similar troubles would share them under this topic, especially those in China and Taiwan.
Thank you.

Xian, do the service points have the older versions of the firmware?
and is it possible to actually downgrade the firmware?
