> K790i call background noise

Some of my friends have been complaining about a background noise that they can hear when I am talking to them on my K790i. I can't hear it. My girlfriend says that it gives her a headache and is really annoying. My brother says it sounds like a chirping noise.
Have any of you experienced this with the K790i or another phone? Is there a way to fix it without sending it back?
Right now, I am reduced to switching back to my T637 to make extended calls.
I am using the phone on the 1800 Mhz band in the U.S.

Think that you are on GSM1900. While T637 supports also Gsm850 if you network has there.

You are right, I meant 1900, not 1800. But, I don't think that is the issue because I have a K750i that works perfectly in the same locations and using the same band.

Ok, that sounds like problem of the K790i itself then. How about try software upgrading? Hopefully no any hardware problem with it.

I already upgraded to R1CG001, which is the latest firmware I know of. It didn't help
