amobil did testing on battery life on some 45 different phones which took them 3 months,and needless to say the
Z530i came out tops in terms of stand-by time and talk time.

talk time umts means video call? i hardly doubt. imo it doesnt matter where i make normal calls, gsm or umts, i never noticed any differences.

Did this people really do the test or just take the figure from the manufacturer spec sheet. Look more like the latter. And SE battery life given in spec sheet is pure nonsense.

UTMS call just mean voice call time, on UTMS reception (meaning higher battery drain).

It doesn't take the times off the spec sheet. It specifies the 'listed' talk time in grey.

You should really learn to read the full article (it is in english after all) before making that kind of statements.

It really does not matter that much for this kind of test as long as the operation condition (operator used, location etc.) is same for all phone tests.
But on page two the article says "The test was commenced in Bergen, Norway with SIM cards from Telenor Mobil".

The talk time as shown with with K750 more than double that N70 is just too far from reflective of real world usage.

@shaliron i use umts since almost 2 years and never realised that in umts system normal calls drained the batt faster. it really doesnt matter if i make a normal in gsm or umts system, only video calls drains the batt faster.

It is as close as it can get and definitely closer and more accurate than your and your friends "test".
Even Nokia admits the test is good.
