Can you plug in a car charger and wired headset at the same time as I want to use bluetooth for my GPS reciever

hum. The usual charger has a bypass port on it, so you can charge and have the headset in. If the carcharger is the same then yes, you can.

Not on my P910 you cant, if you have the gps reciver connected via bluetooth you cannot connect another BT device. How do you manage it, please advise?

If the "portable handsfree" refered to is the standard wired unit then I suppose it means you can talk and charge!

whilst i still had my P910i i was able to run two bluetooth connections with no problem one to the headset and the other to a Holux GPS unit. The only thing was the P910i would not route the Tom Tom instructions to the bluetooth headset only out of the phones loudspeaker which was pretty annoying to put it mildly. But in answer to your original question it is yes you can plug the car charger and a hands free headset into the phone at the same time.
