> Hello, another dead K800i
Bookmark topic
Hi, I got my k800i yesterday... played alittle with it, got to know it... and installed Opera Mini...
However... when I was gonna start Opera Mini I got a java fault error... I turned off the phone and back again... and now it got stuck on the "Sony Ericson" start/splash screen. Only option was to take out the battery, since it was stuck there for 3mins without any response...
So, I tried again and again... and it ended with the famous white screen... and at last it didnt even start at all... so its dead...
I have talked with SE and my shop, and Im sending it back tommorow...
However... Most likely, I will get a phone back with the same version, do you have any tips on how to not get the same fault? I have read about people who have changed the phone 3-4 times... Im not interested in that, I want a working phone...

Hehe, well, that wasnt really what I was trying to achieve with the post
But serious, does anyone know whats wrong with the firmware I had on the phone? Is it a known java fault or is it just me who are unlucky?

slugworth: Do you even own a K790/800? If no, then you really can't say if it's buggy or not. It has a lot less bugs than most other initial firmware releases for SE phones. It's not "very buggy", most bugs are not noticed if you don't look for them and some bugs affect only some people.

blunden, you are becoming very defensive, and I (a person with both a K750i and a K800i) can say right off the bat that there are so many bugs on the K800i, But, SE will probably pull through with a FW update like they always do!

Then I guess I just have to wait for the new firmware then... and my new phone, again...
Anyhow, how can I check what firmware I got?
