I am kind of a newbie on SE phones , an I have read that the firmware of the cellphones can be updated and i wnted ton know:
Can i do it for my W800?
What do I gain doing it?
How can I do it?

Welcome to SE empire, you can update your w800 firmware to make it more stable and get rid of some bugs (if it has any) to make it more reliable, think of it as windows update but for phones. here is the link for the program, install it on your pc and follow the instructions:

just make sure u have full battery and good network connection...
and 1 thing, u should install first the celphone driver, it will prompt u for 1 time only..

MAKE SURE!!!! firewalls are turned off and the system spec matches minamum (most xp pc's do) also as a percoursion please also make sure AV software is off i had a guy in turky with a problem on SEUS and i still think it was his ROUTER blocking the port (SEUS inst uPNP friendly)
good luck enjoy your esato experiance and keep an eye on the fourm for updates, mods and other little tweaks for your awsem w800i i few tweaks are unlim SMS storage, new cam drivers, anti hiss driver and the display driver for better gamma and contrast
