> USB Charging Cable for K800i?

Hi guys
I'm going away next month, and want to minimise the items i take away. I've found a travel charger which charges through a USB cable (for use with my ipod), but the USB cable which came with my K800i doesn't charge directly and needs the charger as a pass-through.
Does anyone know if there are any USB cables out there for the K800i which can charge the phone also?

Not sure I understand - I assume you are not taking a laptop with you but there is a travel adaptor available that has a connection for a USB - which should indeed charge your phone. Check the following link for the Swiss world adaptor with USB

Thanks. Yes, thats what I've already got - a power adapter into which you can direcly plug a USB cable to charge a device. I use it for my iPod when out and about.
What I need is a USB Cable which will charge my K800i. The one included in the box doesn't charge directly from USB when connected, and you have to plug the charger that came with the phone in seperately.
Any ideas where I could get one?

My "Martin Fields" USB sync/charge cable DRAINS my battery when used with mains or car USB "universal"-type USB charger.
cable replaced as i thought original was faulty but still have problem, so can't use it.

Does anyone know why the USB cable that comes with the phone won't work from a "standard" charger like @neocookie describes? - I know that it request's software when plugged into a PC - but I thought that was just to allow data transfer.
