> Cannot connect M600i to PC suite
Bookmark topic
Okay.. I have done a pretty extensive search and dont think this has been covered elsewhere?
I Have a Toshiba Portege running Windows XP SP2 that I have installed PC suite onto, however I cannot get it to detect my M600i either using the USB cable or Bluetooth.
I have also installed PC Suite on my PC at home, and it connects good (apart from the disc2phone application keeps telling me there is no memory stick in my phone?)
Any help please??

Have you tried this:
Go to the my m6100i icon on your desktop
take your phone off the wire
reconnect it to the wire
wait
This happens to me on my P910. Otherwise, I'd advise you invest in a memory stick reader. I've got one and you will not realise how much difference it makes just having one. Storing files on your memory stick is easier and if you want to install something, stick it in your documents folder, and get your M6100i to install it (it should be able to if my P910i can do it

)!

thanks pimp,.. but i cant even get the phone to connect so that I can disconnect.
I am already using the memory card, and bluettoth to transfer files to my M600, but I really need to be able to synch my contacts and calendar,,.. that for me is the real reason to own a smartphone...

Verify in Mrouter that the port you are using is selected.
Furthermore never connect the before starting th computer.
If nothing happen I suggestto tryvto reinstall it and see what happen.
For the problem of disc2phone application telling there is no memory stick in the phone verify that the port in the phone is set as file transfer

this problem is really Pissing me off now.
I have uninstalled and re-installed PC suite about a dozen times now. The SE support people are now telling me its a computer problem, and they only guarantee that PC Suite will work correctly with a clean installation of windows.. huh fat lot of use it would be then?.. frankly I havent got a(nother) day to waste to do a complete reinstall of my PC either..
What is the point of having a smart phone if you cannot synch your PIM?
It has allways worked first time everytime in the past with other phones I have had (activsync & PC suite for Nokia)
Is there a 3rd party APP that I can buy/Try that will synch my M600i with outlook etc?...

THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED
One useful thing the SE support guy did tell me is that he thought my problem was realted to a driver from an old phone, not being uninstalled.
So I decided to try and find out what old drivers were on my PC.
I found this website, and followed the instructions..
http://www.tech-recipes.com/windows_installation_tips504.html
And in the course of doing al this noticed that the bluettoth drivers, and the SE phone drivers were using the same com port numbers.
I uninstalled the BT drivers, restarted my computer, didnt allow it to reinstall the BT drivers,.. connected my phone, and WHAMO.. it connected .. yeehah...
Now all I have to do is figure out how I can load the BT drivers so they dont conflict..hmmm...
