> Z550i - metal or plastic?

hello, can anyone please confirm if the silver part of the black z550 is metal or plastic casing? i have heard claims in both directions on other sites, and am hoping to settle it here. thanks!

I'm pretty sure that it's just lookalike meatillic paint, like the K700. Not realy metal. That's just because of the relatively low weight and just cos they don't make metal phones anymore. Still, you could ask in
this thread. Some people there have the Z550.

Just a reminder: all upcoming and recent phones from SE are pure plastic and have nothing metallic in them, atleast nothing thats visible.

I have the Z550i the silver front is metal (aluminium to be precise) !!! but the silver on back is plastic.

I have the Z550i the front is aluminium the d pad and the two buttons beside it are also aluminium BUT THE BACK COVER IS ALUMINIUM COLOURED PLASTIC also the vol button on side is metal
