Any answers as to why this could happen? One of the PCs at office has a problem with the dvd drive and i need to check the bios options but the thing just boots into windows straightaway. Does not respond to the F12,F8 or F2 keys... any ideas?

Press the whole keyboard onto the floor and see if that works (to press all the buttons at the same time).

It might be that the PC boots before the keyboard kicks in. Unplug the hard drive so that POST takes longer to detect the hardware. That way, the keyboard might kick in whilst POST is searching for a hard drive.
