> k800 sms length bug just found (
Bookmark topic
I have just noticed my K800i has started doing something weird whereby it thinks an sms can only be 50characters long and anything over that says sms2 etc
I tried turning off the phone and trying again and it still does it.
I also went into msg settings and checked it still says max length etc which is does so it must be a bug :s
Kinda annoying cos a message i just sent was only 140 chars in length but it cost me 4sms to send it!
EDIT aha it appears its ok again now but if i open the sent message it still thinks its 4sms long

were you sending any graphic characters or using any foreign language as they wil often consume your 160 characters quicker

Your phone is in a mode where every letter requires two bytes. This mode is used mostly in countries with languges that have many letters like Chinese. I don't have my K790i on me to check. But I remember that there is an option to switch back and forth in Float's Mobile Agent. I would call tech support and ask them to help you.
