Hello everybody, I have just purcahsed a Sony Ericsson K750i. It's a really nice phone. I have T - mobile and I live in Sacramento California.
There are some places I don't get good reception at like school
I heard theres like a firmwire upgrade where you upgrade your k750i to the w800i and you can get better reception
Does this work? How can i get better reception out of my k750i

Flashing your k750 to a W800 only changes the software not the hardware, your phone's reception will not change a bit

I didn't notice any change in reception either. I did notice a slight improvement in the camera though, but can't guarantee it would be the same for your phone.

The problem is the K750i wasn't designed for the American market, due to the US using different GSM frequencies. Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but the K750i uses 900Mhz, 1800Mhz and 1900Mhz frequencies, the US uses 850Mhz and 1900 Mhz.
