> Streaming radio from Opera

On Saturday i wanted to try and listen to my beloved football team lose for the fourth time in a row!
I normally use my Mac to stream the commentary from a website but for some reason the streaming would not work from my opera browser on the P990i (wonderful device by the way!)
I can stream the BBC radio stations from the 'online' player by adding the link but no streaming seams to take place from the browser ....
..am i expecting too much from my P990 or does anyone know better?

Strange, I put this address in Opera and it works by handing it off to the Media Player to play and then from there I can save the address for future reference. However this is a real media stream and I'm not sure all the stream types that Opera can handle in the P990i but at least we know of one.

Hi there,
Cheers for posting a link that actually works. I have tried some .ra and .ram that work fine in Real Player, but yours from BBC is the only one that actually works on P990! I had much better luck streaming with Windows Mobile (say
www.ministryofsound.com or foreign radio stations), but Windows Mobile isn't Symbian *wink*
If anyone else has any links that they confirm actually do work on P990, then plz post them!

I guess this is a tough nut to crack... I would like to listen to some Russian radio stations. Ever since the Nokia 9500, I have been having trouble streaming any kind of Internet radio. I got that one BBC channel to stream using Wifi on P990, but cannot get anything in Russian (which I am interested in hearing). \\I tested some links and everything plays fine on the Real Player for Windows. Maybe it's a bandwidth problem with the UIQ 3?

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the link...looks like a good collection of sites. I found some of the international stations at
http://mypage.bluewin.ch/a-z/cusipage/liveradio2.html.
I thought there was a program for the Nokia Series 60 that culled together streaming radio links and so on. I also remember a Virgin Radio player for P910...guess it will take some time before more comes out for P990!
