P990i records video with a QVGA 320x240 pixels resolution

The Video Player application offers basic functionality. A nice feature is that you can watch your videos in landscape mode. According to the manufacturer the Sony Ericsson is able to play smoothly videos with VGA resolution, captured at 30 fps which is more than enough to watch a music video or even a movie. Besides the usual mobile formats such as 3GPP, the smartphone supports MP3, AAC+, MPEG-4 and Real Audio 9 and RealMedia formats.

you know that if you convert movies, you will never get more than 25 fps as it is unnessesary on the phone. it i just better to take the quality on conversion up a bit.

can video playback on fullscreen played with just the video alone?

currently there is an icon on the top right corner
which will restore the video to normal size

This icon is quite redundant .... clicking on the video image
will do the same function already.

doesn't the icon disappear for you? i just tap the screen to go to full screen view. the video player for the web (streaming) has that icon all the time i believe. if you download a video and play it in the media player and tap on the screen, do icon is there for me.
