I hope it's not just me, however since doing the first firmware update on the P990i at the weekend i now cannot use
SMSGuard & sony ericsson file manager
anyone else got the same problems? - they just crash our with a 'USER' error and error code '130'
i've never had this problem when upgrading firmware on a P910i where the 3rd party software would stop working because of it

Tried doing a master reset after your flash??. If not i suggest giving that a go and if that doesnt solve it then re-flash it again.
If that doesnt solve it then id send it back for a replacement, could be a faulty unit.

Are you suggesting that flashing the same firmware twice would make a difference? Sounds strange, but I've seen even more strange things happen ...

i donīt have SMS guard, but i use the SE file manager, without problems
btw, were can i find the sms guard demo??? i canīt seem to find it
only apps i canīt run are ScummVm and Agile Messenger
the reflash action has proven to improve performance, both in M600 and P990...like someone said, we really donīt know if the process went really perfect in the first time

on another note - doing a master reset means you lose the golf game and the themes :@( ....where can i get these from?

Unless the are on the supplied Memory Stick the easiest option is - yep you guessed it - another reflash.

Mac you do indeed lose those themes and golf game so best to backup the phone before doing a master reset. Thats how i did mine and found that i had lost the golf game and themes but once i had restored my backup they appeared back again.
