@WickedGR

The S700i is a brilliant phone.

It wasn't overly popular at first because it was veeeeeerrry expensive when it was releeased and also not many operators in the UK actually dished it out - from what I can recall, there was only Vodafone and O2.

Coupled to that, there was text messenging problems which took a while to be resolved so all in all, there was little take up for it in the UK.

Is there anything in particular you wanted talk about?

@below24 Its not that old not as old as the T610 anyway.

There will be plenty of topics on the S700i, it's just that most of them will be older threads, I've noticed that generally it's the latest mobiles that get talked about, any issues/discussions with older models would generally have been talked about when they had recently been released.

btw, I have an S700i also, it's just in the process of being 'restored', I'm after a dead one with a decent facia to stick my working mainboard in if anyone has one! Still very nice phones, the camera will still shame a lot of current models!

@Sammy

I am restoring mine too. I bought a dodgy black cover for it which didn't fit properly. If you know where to get a silver OEM cover let me know mate.

Will do! There's good old Ebay, but there's a lot of non-genuine and fake crap out there.

I'm after a dead one as the one I have needs the camera button, button lock slider, and is missing half it's screws so slide mechanism sits a bit too proud of the phone.

I've been looking on Ebay, but 'dead' examples are hard to come by, these must be reliable phones!

a bit off topic, but this phone has a strange habit of sounding the text message tone whenever it logs onto the network, bit strange! I'd update the firmware but can't get my SEUS to work on my pc with any phone! Think it's running an early firmware version.

@Sammy_boy

I have some spares. I might have the camera button and the button lock slider for you. I will check tonight.
