I seem to having problems with Opera Mini (V2.04509, 20067004).

This the error message i get when i try to connecting to the internet using Opera Mini.

Quote:There was a problem connecting. There might be a problem with your network setup. Please go to Tools > Help > Introduction and perform the connection test.(error: 3.302.10:80/).

When i tried to perform the connection test this is the message i get:
Quote:You do not have a working network connection. Please visit http://opera.com/mini/ with your desktop browser for instructions.(error: 3.0.10.108/)

I was using Opera Mini a couple a days ago and it was working ok.

I am currently using Orange Internet/GPRS as a source of connection and i have not changed any settings. I have checked them again and they seem all ok. I tried to deleting and downloading a fresh copy of Opera Mini from the WAP site and installing it again on my W800, but the problem still persits.

The strange thing is i seem to able to download emails and use the Orange WAP using my Orange Internet/GPRS ok.

So i am baffled why it suddenly stopped working and what could be the the problem and if there is a solution of fixing it?

Regards,

Edit: I have also sent an copy of the to the Opera Mini Bug Report and also posted it on thier fourm. Just have to wait and see what they respond with.

Regards,

Hi,
Funny you should say that, i've had exactly the same problem. Monday night I was using it like usual, tried it Tuesday morning and got exactly what you got up, the internet works fine when i connect it to the computer. I'm on Orange and in England as well and I use a K700i.
I remember reading somewhere that Orange was the only network on Paygo that supported Opera Mini so maybe they've stopped it now...who knows.

If you do recieve any news could you keep me posted? Cos i miss it sooo much, lol.

Cheers x x x

Hi @Frubin. Go into your internet settings and check that the "Settings for Java" are set to your correct GPRS provider. I had exactly the same errors from Opera and for some reason the settings for Java moved to the wrong default. - Once I reset and performed the Opera config - all was ok

Frubin - Scratch that! Just checked again and now I have no access to opera - very strange! I also connect through Orange GPRS Pay monthly - but have the older version of Opera (v.2.0.4459, 20060628). Is this now a service provider issue?

@ englishmanabroad: I have checked checked my "Settings For Java" and it is set to use Orange GPRS WAP. Other Java applications don't seem to have a problem access the internet using these settings.

Hummm ... if Orange has indeed done something to prevent Opera Mini to no longer access thier GPRS, then yes it's an issue with the provider. But i honestly see why they should have done that as we are still using thier GPRS service which "we" the customers are paying for!

I've posted up a survey on the Opera Community - Opera Mini forum for users of Opera Mini who are also expriencing problems with Opera to establish wheather it is indeed a problem with the Opera Mini software or their service provider that is causing the problem.

My cracked version stops working periodically and for no apparent reason, with the no working connection error message. I also have the official version which i use when the cracked one doesn't. Curiously, after a short official browse, the cracked one works again! Also orange paym, with the orange world access pack.
