hi all ive just read that you cant play a video whose resolution is higher than 176x144... well i havent just read i tried it (using mpegable - no higher resolution mp4s would play)

is there a way to go around this? like some software player or a phone secret/patch?

Actually, the display res of K750 is 176x220.

However the Video playback (and recording) of the K750 only supports 176x144 resolution. You can set the video to play in "fullscreen" which stretches the video to fit the 220x176 (in horizontal mode) display. This is not the same as increasing the resolution, it is a simple resize. The phone itself cannot play videos larger than 176x144.

well id be happy if the strech looked remotely good (its a disaster, looks like the "nearest neighbor" resize algorithm)

so, excluding the integrated one, there are no other video players?

I've seen a java video player, but it didn't have a fullscreen option.

It just can't, that's how it's design. Stretching it to fill the screen is not the same as playing it at a native resolution of 220x176. The video player's max. native resolution is 176x144.
