> SEUS is not working with M600i!

Hi,
I am trying to update my M600i's firmware with Sony Ericsson's Update Services. I dowloaded version 2.6.4.9 form web the site and installed it. After downloading required files from the internet program closes. I thing everyting went well (i am using the usb cable that came with the phone). When i restart the update services i got screen with the SE animated logo and the animated green bars. It hangs there and nothing happens.
ANy idea?

- what OS are you using on your PC & have you got all the SPs?
- I assume the M600 is detected okay?
- if you had a previous attempt and it failed the upfate after downloading the firmware there is a possibility that the downloaded files are corrupt. So where in the 'green bars' process does it hang atthe moment, during downloading the firmware or writing the firmware to the phone
- are you using a broadband connection

I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 and a lot of patches with Automatic Update.

No. It is not detected. I could not even go to this phase. I installed software (during installation i choose Turkish as language). After installation i restarted it and it downloaded some files (approx. 2 MB). After download, i restarted Update Services and the only thing i got is a SE logo with moving green bars below it. Only menu item is About. I am using the USB cable that comes with the phone. Is it the right cable? At Sony Ericsson's web page they say " USB Flash Driver should be loaded" What is it? Sony Ericsson PC Suite is installed. I can use it with my phone.

It hangs at the moment.

Yes. I am using ADSL connection.

Could you try:
- uninstall SEUS and get a new copy from the SE site
- make sure you have the latest version of Java
- switch-off any firewalls you are using
- re-install SEUS

Hi,
I uninstalled it and downloaded new one. Also, installed jre1.5.0_08, shockwave player and flash player again. Disabled the firewall and anti virus. Result is the same.
ANy idea?
When i start the application i could not see any java virtual machine started. Do i have to add or change any parameter from enviroment variables or SEUS settings.

My problem may be related with flash driver. All of the forum and ericsson site mentioning about flash driver but i did not see that driver.
Could anyone explain firmware update process from M600i from the begining. If required i can re-install my windows.

I am sure its nothing different to what you have done...
1. Downloaded the software from the CD that came with phone
2. Ensured that it connected and that the device was found
3. Download the SEUS from SE website
4. Connected the phone
5. Double clicked the SEUS software
6. Follow the on screen instructions
From other forums they were saying that they downloaded the latest version of Flash and that did the trick for them...
I am not much help after that, i am sorry

I am experiencing the same problem (also from Turkey): the update program hangs with the SonyEricsson logo and the flashing bars at the bottom of the window. I spoke with SE Turkey and they say they are doing some work on the server and this is why it is not working. I.e. the problem is not a client problem but a problem at the SE end of things. Whether this is unique to TR I don't know. The person could not give a repair time, but the problem appears to have been going on for a couple of days if not weeks.
