> Problems with vCards on P990i
Bookmark topic
Since iSync doesn't work (yet), I thought I could send the most important contacts to the phone using bluetooth, but the problem is, the P990i can't read them.
It just says that the files are damaged and cannot be opened. What the...? They work great on the P910i, so I have no idea as to what's going on with the P990i. Any similar experiences? Using the retail firmware here.

You have to set Preferences->vCard to use v2.1 and not the default of v3.0 if you want to send useable vcards to P990i.

I can almost hear wedding bells . . .?Don't you just love happy endings???The question is why would Apple use v3.0 by default? What benifit does it have over v2, which apparently is what works with all cell phones I've used?

Let me just point out to readers that you have to tick vCard 2.1 in Address Book prefs and not on the phone. I might be stupid, but it took a while for me to figure this out.
Works great now, though.
